  1. I remember very well our class making Harry's half crown. I was one of the actresses and part of the film was shot in my parents house in Whitehouse Lane. Several students from Durham University came to our school to assist us in the making of the film. The class was split up into actors, camera crew, continuity, directors, editors, etc. When the film won an award, two pupils were chosen to go to London where Sir John Mills presented them with a trophy which they brought back to the school.

I had a feeling that the film was made earlier than 1963, as we were second years at the time and our school year being born 1947/1948, should mean it was shot c 1961

I also remember making the film. I was a member of the post-production team and was involved with editing the final movie weeks after the shooting took place. I too would love to see it again. I remember that "Harry" was played by a good friend of mine who was called Harry but I can't for the life of me remember his surname, was it Gilroy? I agree with Linda that it was made before 1963 but maybe that was the year it was released. I've Googled the title and there is very little to find out about it, maybe try the B.F.I. as they could still have a print of it.
