Oldest Building in Ushaw Moor ?

Been asked by a member of the community, which is the oldest building in Ushaw Moor ?

Had thought it was the Flass, was a coaching station, but has the building been re-built ?

  1. Would the old college be in the running for this.?

  4. It must be Flass Hall. - read somewhere of the "Witch Finder General" staying over night in his search for witches in the valley in the 1500's. Also There must have been buildings and farm houses in 1346 surrounding "Beaurepaire Manor, as I doubt it was big enough to put 15,000 scots up for the night? (Just before the battle of Nevilles Cross)
    "Food for thought though"

  6. yeah there could have been a few youth hostels and the odd Premier Inn in that vicinity, I cannot imagine those Scots putting up with anything less.
