Interesting seeing the word - EMPIRE- above the doors. It doesnt look like a pro signwriting job but looks like it has been painted by hand. Perhaps the original wore off or faded.? Dont recall that but my memories of catching the bus from Broompark and having to line up in the queue which went from the front doors and around the corner and down the street are still in my mind. I think you had to go down a few steps when you first entered and i can not remember if there was an upstairs seating area. The only movie that has stayed in my memory is Darby O,Gill and the little People and probably because we spent our bus money and walked back to Broompark and the older kids were trying to scare us by making the Banshee noises.
